But what exactly does the Consent Mode v2 mean?
Taking care of cookies is more than just having a cookie banner when people first access your page. But fully understanding what goes on behind the scenes can be difficult.
Google’s consent mode makes sure that your site works together both with legislation and google analytics and ads. V2 is an updated version of Google’s original consent mode and makes it easier to navigate. Consent mode makes sure that no data is transmitted before the user makes a choice through the banner. If consent isn’t given then nothing is sent.
The changes from the original version mostly center around the addition of two new states: ad_user_data, used to determine whether consent is given for Google’s advertising, and ad_personalization, which control if data can be used for personalized ads.
Our Cookie Care Consent Mode v2 lets you seamlessly work with Google Analytics and ads, so both you and your users can get the most out of Google’s services.
